Jail Actually Housing Upgrade for Many Working Journalists

LOS ANGELES COUNTY JAIL — Many journalists who were unlawfully detained by ICE this morning were unexpectedly delighted when they saw the cells were actually nicer than their current apartments.
“Wait, so you get an actual toilet?” Anita Rentfreeze of CBS Daily News asked. “My landlord just gave me a bed pan and told me to ‘figure it out.’” Don Lemon, among those arrested, also commented: “As a New Yorker who pays about $1 million in rent every month, I feel very at home.”
